Hello my friends...

Well for a first journal entry, I figured I'd write from Spain. I'm currently sitting on my balcony at 6:00am in the morning sipping on some Sangria watching the sun rise. This is how I spend the some of the mornings. Others I spend waking up at 11:00am, getting some brunch which usually consists of fresh OJ, croissant, and a Spanish Omelet. Oh and don't forget the cup of coffee! Good shit if you ask me. Then I walk across the street to the beach and go for a swim in the Sea. Then I go for some lunch, back to the room for a nap (Ciesta time, got to love the Spanish people) and then out again for dinner. The drinking age is 18 here so I usually go to my buddy's bar down the street from the hotel. His name is Pepe. While I don't abuse the privelege, I do enjoy it and make it a point to try everything I can. Sangria, a fine red wine, usually served with brunch or lunch is my favorite so far. The night life here is booming. Concerts are held in the hotel court yard and there's plenty to do at the beach. Not to mention the bars are still open and there's a dance club right next to Pepe's. My new friend, Rosa, called me up on stage to do her closing song tonight which was "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera. I can't seem to escape that song.

This is a 16 day long escape and God knows I need it. It's been a rough year as I'm sure some of you have had a taste of. Not to mention I need some time away from the mundaneness of it all. I'm anxious about getting home on the 9th. I miss my brothers and sisters. I miss my love, KLP. I'm missing the 4th of July. Ugh. But rest assurred, I'll be back with a tan, stories, pictures and possibly some tattoos...
